A cold is a common and typically harmless viral infection of the nose, throat, airways and sinuses. With rest it usually clears up on its own within a week or so. Avoid Contact - If you have a high temperature and do not feel well enough to carry out your everyday activities, try to stay at home and avoid contact with others as much as possible.
